Logistics 4.0 at Nicolini & C.

 

Our new compact warehouse with mobile layers is already in full swing! The recently inaugurated building has been specifically designed for a logistics 4.0 and it expands the historic headquarter in Campagnola Emilia. In the new automated warehouse, when the collection and storage of the materials are performed, passage ways are created in less than 40 seconds. The compact mobile shelving block has allowed an astonishing 90% space saving of the total surface.

 

The other important objective achieved by the new logistics was the optimization for handling operations: trough a constantly updated flux of information, the computer system implements the lean production and the warehouse staff receives the material requirements directly to its handhelds. The spacing has been divided and organized in corridors and storage areas, with the result of reducing and simplifying the collection and storage of the materials, both inside and towards the other company buildings. Summing up, we have standardized the processes and improved the computerisation and automation.

 

Here, at NICOLINI & C. we are working on increasing the efficiency and company productivity: starting from the entrance of raw material, the processing, the finishing, the assembling, the quality control and, in the end, the delivery of finished product.
