Nicolini & C.’s eletric motor range is exclusively composed of motors with aluminum casing. Motors with size from 63 to 200 have casings with slotted holes that allow the fixing of feet in various positions thus allowing to use the motor in various constructive features and to position the terminal box as required.
The terminal box can be supplied in both aluminum and plastic and can be positioned on each side of the motor thus allowing the possibility of the connection from each side. The fan cover is made in zinc steel or is pre-painted. All the motors are dinamically balanced according to the normal principle. Reduced or special balancing can also be supplied.
On side N of the motors is usually fitted a steel spring ring for axial loading. Upon request motors without back-lash are available, with the bearing locked on either side D or side N. It is possbile to both reduce or increase shaft end float or to achieve greater back-lash or radial load. All the components have European origin and are processed and assembled in Italy by Nicolini & C.
The motors comply with the rules of origin governing trade within the European community and with partner countries that require a preferential origin of goods.
Bearings: the bearings normally assembled on Nicolini & C.’s motors are the rigid radial type with one row of balls. The bearings are enclosed and pre-lubricated with lythium based grease, with operational temperature ranging from –25° to +150°C. We can produce, on request, motors with roller bearings fitted with two rows of balls or with angular contact. The motors with size 132 and higher can be equipped with greasing valves. These motors require periodical lubrifications the frequency of which depends on the environmental and operating conditions.
Painting: Nicolini & C motors are coated with epoxy powder paint through a modern infrared energy saving oven. The epoxy powder paint, besides the good aesthetic impact, provides excellent mechanical and chemical strength, and remarkable resistance to corrosion. Epoxy powder painting makes the motors particularly suitable in environments in which may appear detergents, lubricants, acids or solvents.
Without different specific requests the motors are supplied painted in black (RAL 9005). Bolts and nuts and the parts in steel are coated with zinc.
